Biography

Juan Pablo Rodriguez DV is an expert electrical/computer/software engineer/developer with more than 15 years of professional experience and education combined, and a  successful self-employed full-time freelancer and entrepreneur for the last 3 years.

He got his Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering at Elizabethtown College, Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania (USA), where he was awarded with the Outstanding Senior Project Award given by the Physics and Engineering Department, besides of representing the college in the 14th U.S. Annual Ground Vehicle Competition with the Wunderbot III and in artificial intelligence and robotic initiatives surveying at the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT).

Additionally, he was the teaching assistant of several professors in multiple topics (LabVIEW, MatLAB, Electronics, Digital Design and Interfacing, Control Systems, Physics II and Introductory Acoustics because of his high understanding of several topics and his ability to quickly adapt and learn, and most importantly to help and provide great service to others. During those classes he generated multiple practical experiments for students (generating an automated PID controller parameter acquisition system, an interface (plus an XML based programming language) for the high-speed semiconductor I-V characterizations.

After attaining his first degree he worked at Datamatics Consultants, offering services to Panasonic Automotive Systems of America as a contractor, where he develop several roles in the computer engineering domain in making automation systems (full stack: hardware and software) for testing automotive entertainment systems.

Following that, he returned to La Paz, Bolivia (where he is originally from) where he got his first experience with remote education by taking a  master level course: Distributed Systems from University of Urbana-Champaign remote teaching system, where he excelled, but most importantly, was able to understand the power and leverage of being able to get educated and acquire new skills on demand, from an excellent source. 

Southern Methodist University (SMU) at Dallas, Texas is the place where he acquired his Master Degree in Electrical Engineering (Primary Specialty: Communication Systems and Networking with Sub Specialty: Signal Processing and Control Systems).

After graduation he worked as an Associate Software Engineer for Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) working in the SEL-2411, one of the highest selling products developed by the Automation Division of the company.

Then he returned to Bolivia in order to start on his own developing apps and as a full-time freelancer, gaining great reputation in both Upwork and Freelancer.com, having attended around 20-30 international clients with high ratings and praise and being a full-time freelancer for 3 years in different programming languages, frameworks and domains of expertise.

Freelancing has been the most liberating experience of his life, as now he controls his time and future. Having those, nevertheless, imposes a great responsibility to deserve the opportunity given. Therefore he aims to help others attain their own business, become excellent freelancers and improve themselves by finding the best and most effective educational resources online.

He additionally aims to become the best Swiss-Army Knife Engineer ( a master in all trades tech) in order to be an enabler and educator for individuals and companies that look somebody that can make decisions understanding and dominating all aspects of a technological system, and enable them to fulfill their dreams and succeed.
